Ceecorp

Aria is a boutique architectural development comprising nine whole-floor apartments in Bondi Junction.  A site ringed by existing developments with associated limited access, Ceecorp undertook the 5,000 cubic metre sand and sandstone bulk excavation for the development and its two levels of basement carparking.  The excavation included detail works for all ingound services in rock, including building foundations and lift shafts.

 

The shoring consisted of contiguous piles around the basement footprint.  In fact, the site required the use of vertical piles anchored into rock behind the shoring wall, as horizontal temporary ground anchors were not possible given the site configuration and neighbouring properties.  Ceecorp undertook the shotcreting of the shoring piles to create a finished surface for the basement levels.
