Ceecorp

49 Queens Road was the home of the Five Dock squash courts, a 3,500sqm and 11m high facility originally constructed in the 1970s.  Ceecorp first undertook the demolition of the facilities to ultimately make way for a medium rise retail and office development including four basement levels of carparking.

 

The works involved the bulk excavation of 38,000 cubic metres of clay, shale and ashfield shale being excavated using hydraulic hammers suitable for the strength of the material before being removed from the site. 

 

The resulting basement footprint was completed by Ceecorp undertaking shoring, sewer diversion and foundation excavation.
